The route follows well-maintained, mostly flat cycle paths through the Rhine Valley. Highlights include the baroque town of Rastatt, UNESCO World Heritage cathedral in Speyer, university city of Heidelberg, historic Worms with its 12th-century cathedral, and wine town of Nierstein. Moderate difficulty suitable for all cyclists.

You'll have the opportunity to learn how the Romans brought viticulture to this area, as well as experience the imperial buildings and monuments that recall the history of the cities of Strasbourg, Speyer and Worms.

You'll mainly cycle on well-maintained cycle paths along the Rhine cycle path. It is mainly a flat route that is easy to cycle for everyone. There are longer sections on gravel paths through the Rhine floodplains.
