Itinerary
You'll arrive at Hurghada Airport, where you'll be met and transferred to El Gouna. The drive to the charming Sultan Bey Hotel takes approximately 30–40 minutes, and from the moment you arrive, you can look forward to the relaxed atmosphere of this lovely resort town on the Red Sea.
At the hotel, you'll check into a Lagoon Room with a private balcony overlooking the lagoon. Check-in is available from 2 pm, and if you arrive earlier, you're welcome to use the hotel's shared facilities while waiting for your room.
The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. You might choose to relax by the pool, wander through the pleasant streets of El Gouna or simply settle in and enjoy your first evening with All Inclusive at the hotel.
After breakfast, it's time for your first diving adventure. You'll be collected from the hotel and taken to the dive centre, where you'll meet your guides and receive a briefing about the day's programme. Afterwards, you'll board the dive boat and head out towards some of the beautiful coral reefs for which the Red Sea is famous.
You'll enjoy two guided dives during the day. The first gives you a chance to settle in and become familiar with the underwater conditions. Expect colourful corals, schools of tropical fish and a fascinating variety of marine life around the reefs.
Lunch is served on board between dives, with time to relax on the boat and enjoy the views across the sea. After your second dive, you'll return to shore and be transferred back to the hotel, where the afternoon and evening are yours to spend as you wish.
Another exciting day awaits beneath the surface. After breakfast, you'll head out onto the Red Sea once again, with the dive centre selecting the day's dive sites according to the weather conditions and opportunities for the best underwater experiences.
You'll enjoy two more dives, exploring underwater landscapes that may include coral formations, sandy seabeds and smaller reefs teeming with life. Keep an eye out for the many different fish species hiding among the corals and enjoy the sensation of moving effortlessly through the clear water.
The diving programme also includes a planned visit to Dolphin House, known for its beautiful coral reefs and the possibility of encountering wild dolphins. The exact day of the visit will depend on the dive centre's arrangements.
Lunch is served on board before you return to El Gouna for another relaxing evening at the hotel.
After breakfast, your diving adventure continues as you head out to explore more of the Red Sea's exciting dive sites. Although you'll already have visited several beautiful reefs, there's still plenty to discover, as the underwater scenery and marine life vary from one location to another.
Today's two dives offer the chance to experience different underwater landscapes and observe the colourful fish living around the reefs. One of the special sites planned for this holiday is Sharm El Naga, known for its beautiful corals and diverse marine life. The dive centre will decide which day the visit takes place.
As on the other diving days, lunch is included, and there will be time to relax between dives.
Back at Sultan Bey Hotel, you can spend the afternoon by the pool or find a peaceful spot overlooking the lagoon.
Today brings the final two dives of your holiday. After breakfast, you'll be collected from the hotel and head out onto the Red Sea once again.
The dive centre will have selected today's dive sites, giving you another opportunity to discover the wonderful world beneath the surface. Perhaps you'll encounter fish species you haven't seen before or notice new details among the coral reefs that make each dive a different experience.
Between dives, you'll enjoy lunch on board. After the final dive, you'll return to El Gouna with plenty of wonderful memories from your four days at sea.
The rest of the day can be spent relaxing at the hotel, where your All Inclusive stay provides a comfortable end to the diving programme.
After four days filled with underwater adventures, today is entirely yours to enjoy. Take your time over breakfast, find a sun lounger by the pool or simply relax beside the lagoon.
If you'd like to see more of El Gouna, the town is ideal for a leisurely stroll. You can explore Downtown, with its small shops, cafés and restaurants, or visit Abu Tig Marina, where beautiful sailing boats and luxury yachts sit alongside inviting waterfront restaurants.
It's also a perfect opportunity to enjoy the hotel's facilities and soak up the Egyptian sunshine.
You have another full day to enjoy El Gouna and its surroundings. Perhaps you'd prefer a relaxing day by the pool, or maybe you'd like to explore some of the town's pleasant neighbourhoods and enjoy the atmosphere along the waterfront.
El Gouna is known for its beautiful lagoons and relaxed holiday atmosphere, and today gives you plenty of time to enjoy everything at your own pace.
In the evening, you can enjoy your final dinner at Sultan Bey Hotel and look back on a week filled with experiences both above and below the surface.
Your week in El Gouna has come to an end, and it's time to head home. You'll be transferred to the airport for your return flight.

On this holiday, you'll spend 7 nights at the 4-star Sultan Bey Hotel, beautifully situated beside the lagoon in the heart of El Gouna. Built in traditional Egyptian style, the hotel offers a charming, relaxed atmosphere with lush gardens, a swimming pool and access to a private beach by the lagoon.
You'll stay in a Lagoon Room, where all rooms have a private balcony overlooking the lagoon. The hotel is also within walking distance of the restaurants, cafés and shops in Downtown El Gouna. Your stay includes All Inclusive, covering meals and a selection of drinks.
Check-in is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is no later than 12:00 PM.
On this holiday, you'll stay at Sultan Bey Hotel with All Inclusive, meaning that breakfast, lunch, dinner and a selection of drinks are included in your stay.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet-style in the hotel's main restaurant. Here you'll find a selection of both international dishes and local specialities. Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, lunch from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM and dinner from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Snacks are also included as part of the hotel's All Inclusive concept.
On the four days when you're out diving, lunch on board the dive boat is included. You can therefore enjoy your lunch between the day's dives without having to worry about returning to the hotel in time for lunch.
All Inclusive covers a selection of local drinks, including soft drinks, juice, mineral water, tea, coffee, local beer, wine and spirits. Drinks are served by the glass and are included at designated restaurants and bars within the hotel during the hours when the All Inclusive service is available.
Good to know about All Inclusive
Although your stay includes All Inclusive, certain items are not included. These include drinks from the minibar in your room, imported beverages, cocktails and Turkish coffee. These must be paid for separately at the hotel.
Please also note that the hotel's All Inclusive package only applies within the hotel. Lunch on the dive boat is included as part of the diving programme, while any additional purchases on board must be paid for separately. Meals at the hotel that are not used cannot be refunded or exchanged for other meals.
Local specialities
Egyptian cuisine offers plenty of exciting flavours. Try koshari, a traditional dish made with rice, pasta, lentils and spiced tomato sauce, or kofta, which consists of seasoned, grilled meatballs. You can also look forward to falafel, hummus, freshly baked flatbread and a variety of mezze dishes. The selection varies from day to day, and not all local specialities will necessarily be available at the hotel's buffet.
It is possible to obtain a diving certification on this trip. In that case, it will be a 3–5 day PADI Open Water course. You will still have the same number of diving days, but the first days will be used for the certification.
If you want to take a diving certificate on your trip, you can opt for it when you book.
Here you can read our guide to diving certification.
The course is divided into three phases
- Theory - You learn the basic principles of diving
- Confined Water dives - You'll make your first dives in a safe environment (e.g. a swimming pool or shallow water). You'll be trained in basic techniques.
- Open Water dives - You'll make your first four dives in the ocean. Here you use the techniques you learnt in the previous confined water dives.
PADI E-Learning
We recommend completing the theory in advance through a PADI e-learning course. The e-learning is not included in the price and therefore comes at an additional cost. The e-learning course can be purchased directly on PADI’s website.
In order to take the diving licence, you must have completed this document. The rule is that if you can answer no to everything on page 1, you do not need to see a doctor. If you can answer yes to something, then you need to see a doctor and the doctor needs to complete and sign page 2.
Visas to Egypt are not included in the price of this trip. Visas are arranged at the airport, so make sure to bring € 30 per person for this.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon entry.
We can also arrange visas for you. If you want us to do this, you can opt-in on the booking form.
We recommend taking out travel insurance that covers at least illness, accident, repatriation, lost holiday, luggage and liability. As a customer, you are responsible for taking out the necessary travel insurance to cover these costs.
Before taking out insurance, you should check whether you are already covered by travel or cancellation insurance through your home insurance company, credit card or similar - please note that there may be differences in insurance coverage.
When you book a trip with us, we plant a tree in Kenya.
Bering Travel partners with Growing Trees Network, which has been planting trees in Kenya since 2020 in collaboration with Seniorer uden Grænser (Seniors Without Borders). The trees are planted with small-scale local farmers in the Mount Kenya region, as well as at schools, where the fruit helps supplement students’ diets and is incorporated into their learning.
The trees are planted using the shamba method – a sustainable approach that combines reforestation with agricultural crops. This keeps the soil covered with vegetation throughout the year, helping to prevent nutrient loss and reduce erosion.
The contribution to tree planting comes directly from Bering Travel’s own earnings and is not added to the price of your trip.
This initiative is not intended as a carbon offset for travel, but as a way to make a positive contribution.
