The route starts in Turin and passes through historic towns including Pinerolo, Saluzzo, Bra, the famous wine village of Barolo, and Alba, renowned for truffles. Terrain varies from flat sections along the Po River to hilly landscapes with longer climbs, particularly between Bra and Alba. Highlights include Stupinigi Palace, medieval towns, Roman archaeological sites, and wine-tasting opportunities in Italy's premier wine regions.

Highlights on this tour
You cycle on cycle paths and side roads. The first two stages are predominantly flat. After that there is a rather hilly route. On the stage from Bra to Barolo to Alba there are also a few longer climbs to cycle. In the towns you will cycle on roads with heavier traffic.
