Italy - Walking holiday in Tuscany

Picturesque Tuscany - Florence, medieval villages, wine and Tuscan cuisine.

Culture, pleasure and unique landscapes. All this and much more awaits you at our
walking holiday in Tuscany.
Florence, the vibrant heart of central Italy, welcomes you with spectacular palaces and cathedrals, David by Michelangelo or paintings by the great masters like Leonardo da Vinci and Botticelli.

Along secluded paths you'll wander through the characteristic rolling Tuscan hills here in the Chianti region. You'll pass through historic villages like Siena and Volterra and continue on to the Tuscan coast. On the "Via Sale", you can smell the salty sea air before finally getting the chance to dip your tired legs in the turquoise Tyrrhenian Sea, near Cecina Mare.

The route

You'll walk on well-maintained footpaths, gravel roads, forest tracks and sporadic paved stretches. The daily routes take you mostly along vineyards, woods and through a gently rolling landscape. A good basic level of fitness is sufficient for the walking routes - which last a maximum of 4.5 hours. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the cultural highlights in peace and quiet.
