Active holidays in The Netherlands

The Netherlands are a cyclist's dream. Small streets and alleys and a fantastic network of cycle paths spread through the different provinces. 
Only about 50% of the country is higher than 1 metre above sea level, which makes cycling along locks, canals and creeks, which constantly drain low-lying areas, a very unique experience. 
The country is known for its beautiful old windmills, colourfull  clogs (wooden shoes), large tulip fields and a number of beautiful historic towns.
