As the Alps rise up from the Mediterranean Sea along one of the most famous coastlines in the world, they give birth to a very special and luminous land where nature offers an incomparable variety of scenery and atmosphere for your pleasure but also for adventure… These are the Maritime Alps. The trip combines mountain meadows and forests, the majesty of treetops, picturesque perched villages, with the added bonus of a mirror of blue stretched out at your feet. This is the privilege of the Maritime Alps.
Today you arrive in the famous seaside resort, Menton. You’ll discover the Italian border, the beautiful old town of Menton and its lovely gardens.
High mountains rise up just behind Menton. You’ll walk up there through picturesque villages such as Castellar and Sainte-Agnès. Beautiful scenery above the sea. Overnight stay in a small inn looking out on the bay of Menton. Dinner included.
This summit will afford you an extraordinary 360° view on the mountains and the sea. Dinner and Overnight stay in the same inn in Sainte-Agnès.
Through an original combination of Mediterranean scents and Alpine flora, scrubland and pine forests, you’ll arrive at Gorbio, a perched village in the middle of greenery, and Roquebrune, another small village. Both are not too far from the coastline but are completely different from it!
Incredible views on the way today: wild nature and the skyscrapers of Monte Carlo. You’ll enjoy visiting the Principality of Monaco and discovering La Turbie, a medieval village. Train between Monaco and Beaulieu/Mer.
A marked path will guide you along the wild coastline of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. You’ll walk along the beach through Villefranche-sur-Mer and reach Nice via the foothills. Fantastic views in a natural and unspoilt surrounding. The hotel is in the town center making it easy for you to enjoy visiting the town the following day.
The tour ends just after breakfast. We suggest that you take your time to visit Nice: the old town, the flower market and the ‘Promenade des Anglais’.
The price is based upon two people sharing. It is also possible travel alone in a single room. Simply choose "1 person" in the booking form and it will automatically add the single room surcharge.

For example, if you want a flight included or changes to the trip, you can order a quote for this using the "Get a quote" button. Remember to describe in detail what, if anything, you want changed.
The process of your booking
When you book, we will start booking hotels and arranging all the practical details of the trip. This process typically takes 2-5 working days, but some bookings may take longer. If you are arranging your own transport, we recommend that you wait until we have confirmed your booking before arranging this.
Dates
If you can select the date in the tour calendar at the top of this page, this is a possible start date. We continually update the tours with sold-out dates, after which those dates will turn red and cannot be selected.
The flights to/from Nice are not included in the price. You can easily find a suitable flight via a flight booking engine such as Momondo or Skyscanner.
Notice: we recommend that you book with us and wait for the confirmation before you book your flights.
Book a quote
If you prefer that we handle your flight, then we would be happy to arrange this for you. You simply book a quote below the map on this page and we will return with a quote as soon as possible (usually within 48 working hours). Please note that we add a handling fee of 45 euro to each flight and this means that the flight will be cheaper if you book it yourself.
