Trekking in Nepal

Nepal, a land renowned for its majestic Himalayan mountains and breathtaking landscapes, beckons to adventurers and nature enthusiasts from all corners of the globe. Trekking in Nepal is an unparalleled experience that allows you to immerse yourself in a world of awe-inspiring peaks, verdant valleys, and charming villages.

One of the most iconic trekking routes in Nepal is the Annapurna Circuit. This trail takes you through pristine wilderness, lush forests, and over spectacular mountain passes, all while treating you to the sight of the Annapurna massif. Every twist and turn on this trail rewards you with panoramic views that leave you breathless, instilling a sense of humility in the face of nature's overwhelming beauty.

For the adventurous souls, the Everest Base Camp trek is a dream come true. Following in the footsteps of legendary mountaineers and standing at the foot of the world's highest mountain is an experience that touches the soul. Along the way, you traverse through charming Sherpa villages, gaining insight into their rich culture and traditions.

Nepal also offers several lesser-known but equally remarkable trekking trails. Far from the crowds, you can choose routes like the Manaslu Circuit or Upper Mustang. These regions provide a sense of isolation and mystery, having been opened to trekking relatively recently.

As you trek through the mountain trails, being prepared and mindful of altitude and weather conditions is crucial. It's always advisable to have an experienced guide by your side to ensure safe navigation and to share knowledge about the area.

Yet another fantastic aspect of trekking in Nepal is encountering the friendly and hospitable Nepalese people. Their warm smiles and heartfelt welcome make the entire journey even more unforgettable. You'll have the opportunity to stay in local guesthouses, experiencing genuine hospitality while swapping stories with fellow adventurers from around the world.

Trekking in Nepal is more than just a physical challenge; it's a journey of self-discovery, an opportunity to experience humility in the face of nature's might, and a chance to gain a deeper understanding of diverse cultures. It's an experience that enriches your life and leaves you with memories to cherish forever.

So, if you're ready to explore the pristine terrain of the Himalayas, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and catch a glimpse of a captivating country steeped in natural and cultural treasures, then trekking in Nepal is undoubtedly for you. Step out of your comfort zone and let the adventure begin in this captivating land that holds some of the world's most impressive wonders.

Discover our amazing treks in Nepal

The treks we offer in Nepal all have the same recipe. You land in Kathmandu, where you have a few days. When you arrive at the airport you will be met by our staff who will drive you to your hotel, which is located in the Thamel district. Depending on the time of day you arrive, your guide will come by and check that your luggage for the trip is in order. If there is anything you need, we will arrange for you to buy or rent it. It is possible to buy a lot of different outdoor gear in Kathmandu, but you should be aware that much of it is counterfeit. The day after arrival it is time for a tour around Kathmandu. You'll get to see the main sights and if you've been to Nepal before, we'll look for you to see something new instead. You will have a guide with you on the tour, who can tell you about the different places in good English.

Day three is usually the start of your tour in the mountains. You are picked up at the hotel, from where you either fly or drive up into the mountains, depending on your chosen tour. Now it gets wild.

Trekking days vary greatly in length. Some days you trek for only three hours and other days you walk all day. Of course, there is time for a lot of stops along the way when there is just a view to be enjoyed and a picture to be taken. It's quite normal to have time for big thoughts in the mountains. It's all part of the package.
As a special feature of our trips, we include all meals on the trek and also offer hot drinks three times a day. That way you know what you're dealing with. For example, you know you won't spend more than about 200 euros per week in the mountains. A lot of that money will go towards water, which gets more and more expensive the further up you go in the mountains (as much as three euros).

During the trek you will always have the opportunity to get in touch with us. On the voucher you will receive there is a number you can call 24 hours a day. That way, whatever situation you need help with, we'll make sure you're taken care of. However, it is very rare that someone needs to use this solution, but it is there and you just need to use it.
